Now a days there are so many advancements done in the irrigation department. Automation has reduced the work and handheld work of farmers. This is also an approach for the advancement of irrigation process.. Detection of level of moisture in soil helps in watering the plants and hence improves irrigation. Moisture sensor detects the moisture in the soil and sends the information to the microcontroller. The Microcontroller transmits that information on the internet through a network of IoT and the GPRS that is attached to it. The command to switch the water pump on or off can be sent from the webpage to the microcontroller and the function is performed. This enhances automated irrigation as the water pump can be switched on or off sitting anywhere through internet.
